Aranya Nivas is located inside the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and lies by the side of the Periyar Lake. Being an authentic jungle lodge it is a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts and eco-tourists. This resort is run and managed by KTDC and was opened by the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
