Kabini River Lodge
Introduction
Located in the southern border of the Nagarahole National Park, the Kabini River Lodge was once the hunting lodge of the Maharaja of Mysore. The lodge is spread over 55 acres of beautiful land on the banks of River Kabini. It is about 220 Km from Bangalore and 80 Km from Mysore city.
Accommodations
Kabini Lodge has ancient architecture and is capable of accommodating 50 people at a time. There are in all 14 spacious, colonial style double rooms which are all equipped with modern amenities. Apart from this there are 6 twin bedded cottages and 5 tented cottages with attached modern bathroom to ensure that guests stay here comfortably throughout. However there is no A/C or T.V. in any of the rooms of Kabini River Lodge.
Cuisines
The resort of Kabini offers buffet meals to guests that include varied Indian and Continental dishes. Fresh tandoori preparations are also the specialty of the resort. The Viceroy's building of Kabini houses a well stocked bar.
The communal dining hall of Kabini is called the Ghol Ghar and it overlooks the beautiful Kabini River.
Other Facilities
Kabini River lodge also has a large seminars room that can be used for meetings and other business purposes. It is equipped with multimedia projector and other conferencing equipments.
