Kanha Jungle Lodge

Introduction

The Kanha Jungle Lodge is located in the midst of Sal forest of Madhya Pradesh. Designed as a jungle retreat, this resort is very close to the Mukki gate of Kanha National Park.

Kanha Lodge is highly environmentally friendly and every aspect of its development and operation is centered around conservation of nature.

Accommodations

Kanha Jungle Lodge has 18 spacious rooms. Two new independent cottages have also been added to the resort very recently. Every room of Kanha Jungle Lodge is equipped with double bed and other comfortable furnishings. Essential amenities like reading lights, writing table and a large luggage rack is also provided in each of these rooms. The attached bath has 24 Hr hot and cold water supply in addition to modern showers.

Cuisines

The large round dining room of Kanha Jungle Resort can accommodate 35 to 40 guests at a time. There is also provision to dine in an open area.

The lodge's restaurant makes use of farm fresh fruits & vegetables obtained directly from the organic farm land of the lodge.

Some part of the cooking in the resort restaurant is done using two different types of solar cookers.

Other Facilities

This jungle lodge is equipped with a games arena where guests can engage in volleyball, badminton and other outdoor games. In addition to this there is also provision for indoor games like chess and carom.

Wildlife films are regularly shown and numerous informative books are stocked in the in the library so that guests can keep themselves busy when they are not on as safari.

Other attractions of Kanha Jungle Lodge are a solar energy plant and a medicinal garden.
