Lion Safari Camp
The Lion Safari Camp is a luxury wildlife camp located at the Gir National Park, overlooking the Hiran River. It is owned and run by the Camps of India group.
This camp lies amidst private mango orchard that presently has 900 mango trees. To maintain the natural setting of the locality, only 2% of the entire land area has been used to build the eco-friendly tents of this camp.
Lion Safari Camp has 21 AC luxury tents. Each of these tents has well furnished spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The interiors of the tent are beautifully furnished with natural materials which blend perfectly with the surrounding of the camp. There is also an extended deck to these tents which is ideal for sitting and relaxing. Tent facilities include:
- Hot and cold shower/running water supply
- Coffee machine
- A backup generator
The open restaurant of Lion Safari Camp overlooks the Hiran River. A variety of Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines are the specialty of the top chefs of this camp. Fresh seafood is arranged for guests on special request. Not only this food arrangements can also be made for picnics and special occasions like birthday or wedding parties.
The exquisite barbeque and the in-house bakery are the other attractions of Lion Safari.
Lion Safari Camp has a recreation room where guests can engage in indoor games like snooker or watch television. The library of the lodge is well stocked with books on wildlife flora and fauna. Other paid arrangements in this camp are:
