Introduction
The Spice Village Hotel is located in Kumily, a small settlement 3 Km from Thekkady, near the main entrance gate of the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The nearby harbor with busy ships creates an excellent view around the resort.
Accommodations
There are in all 52 huts in Spice Village Hotel. All of these huts have been furnished with traditional Keralite architecture. The floors of the hut are tiled with terra-cotta tiles and its rooms have simple yet sophisticated wooden beds and chairs. The hotel has also provided a telephone, a fan and a modern bathroom that has 24 Hr hot and cold water supply in each of its rooms. A verandah, where guests can sit and relax, runs around four sides of the cottages.
